Name: | Will Scarlet [Modern day] |
---|---|
Location: | (states/regions/territories) |
"We're from Georgia."
"What part of Georgia are you from? South Central?"
Born in the U.S. to Joseph and Jeanine O'Hara, of Georgia, Will was an above-average student and an excellent archer, often earning first or second place in school competitions. Shortly before he was due to start middle school, his parents divorced and his mother decided to move him and herself back to her native England. (Will never talks about why.) He hasn't seen his father since, and he's really not that torn up about it. After the move, he stopped using his father's name of O'Hara and started using his mother's maiden name of Scarlet instead.
When he started secondary school, he met and became friends with a girl named Robyn Locksley, and together the two of them took the school's archery team to the top. His grades slipped a little and he became a slightly-better-than-average student, doing just enough work to make it through his classes, please his mother, and remain on the archery team. He and Robyn became family when his mother married her father. He's closer to her than to his stepbrotherMarian.
Now he's at university, studying poetry because it's easy (and he thinks it gets him the ladies) and continuing to excel at archery. In fact, it's the only thing he takes seriously. He's a bumbler, the comic relief, the life of the party, until he has a bow in his hand, when he becomes one of the best competitive archers most people have ever met. The only other thing he takes seriously is cooking: the down home, Southern soul food of his childhood.
Note on his accent: When he first moved to London, he had a very pronounced Southern US accent. That has faded somewhat and been replaced with a London accent, and now his speech is a mixture of the two places.
Important info: Will is partly based on the traditional Robin Hood legend, partly on the incomparable Mel Brooks movie Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and partly on ideas from the mun's own mind. Landon Liboiron is the property of himself. Mun and muse are both 18+.
